Today I'm bringing you a review of the Timeless Truth Beauty Masks Ltd Rejuvenating Bio Cellulose Eye Mask* (phew that was a mouthful!). The lovely Angela from Beauty Masks Ltd kindly sent these to me to try out and I was rather happy to receive them as they came just at the perfect time!
My University holds a huge all-night/morning (8.30pm-6am) festival three times a year, once during Freshers Week, once after January exams and again after Summer exams. It's a pretty big deal round here and each one has a different theme and everyone rocks up in fancy dress too (it's also the largest student run festival in Europe if you want to check it out here!). So, with all my January exams and essays out of the way, it was definitely time for a celebration. I decided to save this mask for the day after the festival because as you can imagine, after being out till 6am I was pretty darn tired on the Sunday morning. I had a quick nap upon getting in from the festival and then woke up around lunchtime, ready to give these a try to see if they could save my eyes. I haven't included any pictures of my face or the eye masks on in this post as it was still stained from face paint and it wasn't a pretty sight, but I'm sure you'll forgive me for sparing you the horrible sight!
I found these easy to apply as you simply just pop the mask right under your eye and leave it there for 10-15 minutes. These are definitely something you want to try out lying down or sitting still as they do tend to slide around a little due to the serum on them. In terms of serum, these are incredibly generous and give you lots! The pads are soaked in the serum, and leave a lovely little bit behind after too that you can massage into your eyes (which feels amazing by the way!).
The after result was seriously good. My eyes felt so much more refreshed and even looked less tired than they did before. The dark circles were reduced and they definitely made me feel more awake too, which was something I very much needed. I very foolishly left 1,500 words of an essay left to do the morning after the festival and these helped a lot in waking me up and getting me working. One of my favourite things about these is that you can get another use out of them. You do need to get that use within 2-3 days of opening but I think it's great that these aren't just a one time thing. I've popped mine back in the fridge (recommended for a extra cooling effect) for another use! This particular one is from their luxury collection and you can really tell by the feel of the material. I was worried it could feel a little scratchy, as previous eye masks I've used have felt a little rough on my eyes, but these honestly feel so silky and smooth!
You can buy this mask here at a very reasonable £3.70 or alternatively pick up a box of 5 here for £18.
If you fancy trying these out for yourself you can pick some up over at www.thebeautymask.co.uk along with a wide selection of face masks too. You can also check out Angela's Twitter (click here) or head to the contact page of her website (click here). Go say hello!
