Models Own Sale Haul

So a few weeks ago, Models Own had their annual 50% off sale which is always a sale worth keeping hold of your Christmas pennies for. I saw on a few blogs/instagram accounts that they were going to be launching a new collection (The Chrome Collection) on the day of the sale and that it would be included in the offer. I'd had my eye on a few of those for a while so when the chance came to grab them, and a few oldies, at half price, I just couldn't say no.

First thing you'll notice is the super cute box it comes in! I'm still using this box to store the ones I bought and also some other Models Own ones that I own. Second thing you'll notice is the crazy amount I ordered. Yep, I went for 7. In my defence, there was a minimum order of 5 polishes but 2 more did accidentally fall into the basket and make their way to the checkout...oops. Let's take a closer look at the colours shall we...

Left: Aqua Violet from the BeetleJuice collection. Right: Red N Black.

Neither of these two have photographed particularly well but the Aqua Violet one reminds me of a petrol blue-green colour and looks absolutely beautiful in different lights. The Red N Black colour is more red than it has photographed, like a very deep burgundy-black colour. I had a Maybelline one in a similar colour that I used to love a while back, think it was called Burgundy Kiss, but sadly it ran out (I used it that often!) so I figured I'd pick up a similar colour whilst it was half price.

Left: Boogie Nights from the Mirrorball collection. Right: Pink Fizz.

As you can see, my inner Magpie escaped a little here and went on a glitter spree. These two were purchased purely from googling 'models own swatches' before I placed my order and falling a little bit in love with them. I saw the Boogie Nights shade painted over a purple Barry M number that I actually have so I figured it would look gorgeous to jazz that up. I love the mix of chunky blue and purple pieces, too pretty! The next one was one I spotted as I was scrolling and had an 'ahhhh' moment as it was so so pretty. I'm not usually one for pink colours but this was just so beautiful I couldn't help myself.

Left: Gold Chrome. Centre: Silver Chrome. Right: Rose Chrome.

Finally we have the new Chrome collection. These have not come out very well in the photograph as the colour doesn't really look like that in real life (sorry for the poor quality!) but if you google their names, there a bazillion amazing swatches that are 1000% better than my ones! I've got the silver one of these on my nails right now and I can't stop staring at them. They are seriously pretty. If you look at swatches on google, you'll see why. The rose gold one is the kind of colour I have been searching for my whole life. It's the most beautiful copper colour. And I just couldn't resist the gold!

So, as you can see I picked up some very beautiful colours! My boyfriend has now banned me from buying anymore nail polishes for a long time (le sigh) but I've already got my eye on a few more of the Chrome ones, and even more glitter. These were all £2.49 in the sale, but their usual price is £4.99 (still worth it!).

What are your favourite Models Own colours?
