Review: Sunkissed Sculpt & Glow

The lovely people at Sunkissed kindly sent me their new Sculpt & Glow compact to try out. My immediate thoughts when receiving it were how much it reminded me of the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. Whilst I've never tried the Charlotte Tilbury one, at £49 it's a little out of my price range, I was really excited to give this one a go & see if it could curb my craving for the more expensive offering.

The compact consists of a dark bronzer/sculpt colour and a really light white-gold shimmery highlight. At first I was a little worried that the sculpt colour might be too dark for me, as I'm quite pale & don't really wear fake tan around this time of year but after having a quick swatch and blend on my arm, it seemed to be a good colour match! I've never tried any cosmetics from a tanning brand before, as I've always assumed they're only for super tanned people but I was pleasantly surprised with how natural it looked.

I used it last weekend when going out instead of my usual Sleek Contour Kit and I loved it! It's quite rare I'll wear new makeup on the first try for a night out as I usually like to test it before incase we don't get along but I really liked how it looked. It gives a very natural contour shade and is super easy to blend, so if you do apply a little too much it's not a problem. I'm not usually one to go crazy for highlighter but I did apply a light dusting along my cheekbones, brow bones, cupid's bow & down the centre of my nose. It gave a really pretty glow & wasn't too over the top. I'm definitely not someone who likes to have their 'highlight on fleek', just a small subtle glow suits me better I think. I also think it will look even lovelier in the summer when I've got a bit more of a tan, I can see it really complimenting darker skin tones.

Overall this product gets a big thumbs up. Whilst the packaging isn't something to write home about, and doesn't look half as pretty as the Charlotte Tilbury one, the product inside is great and it's definitely worth a try if you're after the Charlotte Tilbury one but can't justify the price. It's priced at £4.99 so it's not going to leave a huge dent in your purse.

Have you tried anything from Sunkissed before? If so, what's your favourite thing?
