If you haven't already heard, Elf Cosmetics run a little competition on their Twitter page every Friday called the #elfchase. It's essentially a race to find a product code on their website, by decoding the cryptic clues they tweet beforehand. It's a bit of a mad, stressful rush to be honest, but worth it if you win as there are some amazing prizes up for grabs. Elf very kindly sent me this 50 piece makeup artist palette as part of their #elfchase game, which if you haven't played already, you need to! So much fun!
I adore the sleek packaging of this palette, it looks very classic and fits in beautifully with my makeup collection. I love that each layer is like a little tray, that can be taken out and swapped around depending on which you use the most, or your preferred order of application. The blush section is absolutely gorgeous, and reminds me a lot of some of the Nars blush palettes. The pigmentation is great too, and I plan to include a few of the colours in a tutorial soon, same goes to the eyeshadows. I love the mix of colours, shimmers and mattes. It's got everything you could ever want! These are some of the first ever bright coloured eyeshadows I've owned, so I'm excited to give them a try and see if I can be persuaded to swap my usual neutrals for something a little perkier. With having greeny/blue eyes, I think the purples could work quite well so I'm really excited to try those!
This palette can be bought on their website (click here) for £15 which when you consider the amount you get, is very reasonable! With 50 different shades, that works out at around 30p per colour or something which is crazy! I'll pop up a more detailed post soon with some swatches and a tutorial so you can all get a better look.
What do you think of Elf Cosmetics? What's your favourite product from them?
